Hattie Hooks Cochran, 88, passed on to be with the Lord Jesus, Sunday, June 3, 2018, after a long battle with Parkinson's. She was united in marriage to John L. Cochran on February 2, 1950. She was married to John 68 years. Hattie was born, May 2, 1930, in Millen, Georgia and was the daughter of Rufus Lester and Maxie Lanier Hooks. She attended Millen High School and then worked in Savannah, Georgia. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she met and married John Luther Cochran. They moved to Blue Ridge, Georgia, in 1950, and later opened Cochran's Jewelry store. She managed and served their customers for over 40 years. Hattie loved to garden and work with her husband, John, cook and, tell memorable stories to her children and grandchildren.
Hattie will be lovingly remembered by her family -- her three children and their spouses: Fred (Pam) Cochran, Rick (Jane) Cochran, and Paul (Stacey) Cochran, -- her five grandchildren: David, Daniel, Tara, Holly, and Hope – her four great grandchildren: Gage, Caleb, Kasen, and Rowan -- her brother, Lester Hooks. Her surviving family and friends love her very much and will miss her.
