Haskel Walter Jump, age 75, of Murphy, passed away December 26, 2009 at Murphy Medical Center.
He was born on March 21, 1934 in Grahman, NC, to the late Walter and Dorothy Jump. He was preceded in death by daughter, Bernice Elaine Jump Farmer.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with his saddle horses.
Survivors include: wife, Yvonne Allen Jump, sons, Darrell (Brenda) Jump and Richard (Sandy) Jump, Jerry (Joy) Jump, Dewayne (Carri) Jump all of Murphy Christopher Dennis Jump of Lebanon, TN, , daughters, Teresa Rene Laverty of Charlotte, NC, Karen (William) Jump Hall, Loretta (Rev. Ronnie) Crisp, Carla (Jimmy) Worley, Kathy (Chris) Palmer all of Murphy, Brothers, Rex Jump of Arkansas, sisters, Viola Packston of Las Vegas, Beulah Nix of Colorado, Vestula Holcumb, and Violet Camden of Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 3:00 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Stewart and Rev. Gene Measmer officiating. Music will be provided by Mary Measmer and Doug Payne. Pallbearers will be Allen Crisp, Cody Stovall, Devan Jump, Ben Jump, Jonathan Broge and Alex Jump. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
