Mr. Harry C. Zimmerman, Jr., age 82 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Clay County Care Center.
Mr. Zimmerman was born Thursday, July 24, 1924 in Fredrick County, Maryland to the late Harry C. Zimmerman and the late Miamie Cline Zimmeraman. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran during WWII and had worked for Lockhead. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Zimmerman and son Phillip Zimmerman.
Survivors include: wife, Jeanne Cotton Zimmerman of Hiawassee, GA, sons, Steve Zimmerman of Atlanta, GA, Michael Zimmerman of Chamblee, GA, Patrick Zimmerman of Norcross, GA and Tim Zimmerman of Marietta, GA, step-daughter, Carolyn Bayless of Hiawassee, GA, step-son, John Cotton, KY, step-daughter, Waveney Greene of Marietta, GA, step-daughter, Elizabeth Cotton Nicholson of Marietta, GA, 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Gravside services will be held Friday, June 8 at 11:00 A.M. at Marietta National Cemetery.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
