Harris Joiner

Harris Marvett Joiner, age 81, of Blue Ridge, passed away at his home Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017. Mr. Joiner was born June 20, 1936, in Jakin, GA to the late Eugie Lee Joiner and Johnnie Fay Hill Joiner. He was a member of Epworth First Baptist Church and a US Army veteran serving in Korea. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Joiner, and his brothers, Arthur Dennis Joiner and Thomas Willard Joiner.
Survivors include his son, David Wayne Joiner, daughter, Tracey Leigh Abrams, brothers, Joel E. Joiner and William E. Joiner, sisters, Mary Joyce Shirley, Rebecca Goff and Georgia Anne Sheppard, and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services: Monday, October 23, 2017, at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment followed in the Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery.
