Mr. Harold Grady Ash, age 81 of Murrayville, GA, formerly of Blairsville, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 in Dahlonega.
Harold was born March 7, 1929 in Union County, GA to the late Joseph Marion Ash and Ila Mae Young Ash. He was a member of Choestoe Baptist Church and was preceded in death by brother, R.M. Ash, sisters, Marie Townsend, Lorene Kirby, Inez Adams and Mildred Sue Ash.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Gary Dye of Rock Hill, SC, son & daughter-in-law, Joe & Donna Ash of Cleveland, GA, daughter, Selena Ash Daniel of Dahlonega, GA, sister, Ruby Nix of Cleveland, GA, brother, Raymond Ash of Yatesville, GA, sister, Genelle Gordon of Stone Mountain, GA, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews..
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Choestoe Baptist Church with Rev. David Hoard, Rev. John Bryant and Speaker Ranny Ash officiating. Music provided by, Meredith Dye, Rev. John Bryant and Janice Bryant. Interment will be in Blairsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight Dye, Stephan Dye, Jared Ash, Travis Amos, Adam Caudell and Eddie Daniel.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 16, 2010 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
