Harlan Eugene King, age 80 of Copperhill, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 at Copper Basin Medical Center. Gene was born Monday, July 11, 1927 in Polk County Tenn. to the late Ervin Elijah King and the late Ruth Marie Coffey King. He was a member of Isabella Baptist Church and a US Army veteran.
Survivors include: son, Gary M. & Susan H. King of Copperhill, grandson, Brent Michael King of Chattanooga, brother, James Edward King of Chattanooga, brother, Franklin Delano King of McCaysville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 2:00PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Keith Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: James Dale Thomas, David Cook, Lowell Taylor, Ron Singleton, Terry King and Robert Dale.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Tuesday, October 30.
