Hal Williamson

Harold Vincent Williamson, age 68, passed from mortal to eternal life on October 25, 2017. Hal was born September 28, 1949. Lifelong, respected and loved resident of Copperhill, TN. He attended Hiawassee College in Madisonville, TN, Georgia State University in Atlanta and Tennessee Technical College in Athens. Before his career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Wound Care Specialist he served in the United States Army from 1978 to 1984 with 2 years, 11 months and 25 days of active duty, as he would mention if the conversation came up. His accomplishments have been President of the Copperhill Kiwanis Club, Alderman of the Copperhill City Council as well as being a Knight of Columbus. He was a valued member of the choir at the First United Methodist Church and most recent at St. Catherine Laboure' Catholic Church, both located in Copperhill. He was honored in 2016 as Grand Marshal of the Christmas Parade in Copperhill. He considered his most important role as being a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

Hal is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years Mary Frances; daughters Lani Williamson and Melissa Carlile; sons D.J. and Stephen Davenport; son in law David Carlile; daughters in law Tanya and Tracey Davenport; grandchildren Dylan and Morgan Carlile, Hunter, Hannah, Dawson, Madison and Caitlin Davenport. He is also survived by sisters Sheppie Dunn and Cathy Turner; brother in law Jack Dunn; nieces Sally Patterson and Perian Michael; nephew Adam Turner; nephew in law Jonathan Michael; niece in law Lynn Turner; great nieces Arianna Lyle, Zoe Verbeten and Lyndsay Turner; great nephew McCay Turner and Turner Michael. His constant companion and comforter his dog, Max.

Proceeded in death by father, Harold Vincent Williamson, Sr. and mother Sara Catharine Williamson.

Funeral will be held at St. Catherine Laboure' Catholic Church in Copperhill, TN on October 28, 2017 at 3PM.

The Williamson family wishes to thank the Riverstone Oncology Group and Hospice Home Health Care of East Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Hal's name to Finch Cochran Funeral Home, P.O. Box 39, McCaysville, Ga. 30555 to assist with the cost of funeral and medical expenses.
