Guinna Lee Sisson

Guinna Lee Sisson, age 85, of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday evening, April 25, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Sisson was born February 1, 1930 to the late Franklin Benjamin Newman and the late Ruth Ann Harper Newman. She was a member of Epworth First Baptist Church, a retired teacher at Epworth Elementary, and an avid gardener. She loved flowers, birds and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lane Sisson.

Survivors include: daughter, Donna (Gayle) Holweger, son, Bob Sisson, daughter, Cheryl Powell, grandchildren, Russell, Braiden, Courtney, Dixie, Colby, Jessica, Rebecca, Cory and Emily and great grandchildren, Brody, Sawyer, Novalee, Romeo, Devyn, Jayce and Ava.

Funeral services: Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be provided by Doug Simon . Interment will follow in Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Sisson, Hayden Queen, Russell Moss, Cory Powell, Jarad Conner and Thomas Wray.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 6:00-9:00 PM.
