Gregoria Paneto

Gregoria Paneto, 83, of Marble, NC, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013.
She was born to the late Valentina Gonzalez and Timoteo Baez on November 28, 1929, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She was married to Juan Paneto, Jr. who is also no longer with us.
Gregoria was the heart of her family. If you were in town, you made sure to visit her. She supported you in whatever your love was. She believed that being surrounded by family was the most important gift a person can have. When you walk into her home, you were greeted by four walls of family portraits, graduation pictures, wedding photos and family outings. Gregoria was always there. She loved to sew, make crafts, cook, visit flea markets, raise chickens, tending to her garden and flowers, most of all, just having her family was all she truly needed to bring a smile to her face.
Gregoria is survived by her 10 children: Evelyn Bush of Hickory, NC; Laura Estramera of Murphy, NC; Elba Santiago of Louisville, KY; Maria Torres of Marble, NC; Louis Torres (deceased); Josephine Rivera of Puerto Rico; Heriberto Paneto of Charlotte, NC; Amelia Burch, Nancy Paneto & Raul Paneto of Marble, NC. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 pets.
The family asks that any flowers be sent to the Cochaon Funeral Home in Murphy, NC.
A viewing will be held at 2pm followed by a Service at 4:00pm Sunday, April 7 at the Cochran Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 5:00pm on the same day at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery. Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy in Charge.
