Grace Kathleen Griffith

Grace Kathleen Griffith, age 93 of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Griffith was born November 29, 1924, in Pelzer, S.C. to the late Willie Maywell Lunsford and the late Nettie Barker Lunsford. She had lived most of her life in this area. She was a member of Upper Peachtree Baptist Church, and retired from Coats American after 19 years of service. She was preceded in death by husband, Noel Griffith, and son, Randall Delano Griffith.

Survivors include son, Merill Dean (Diane) Griffith, daughter-in-law, Helen Griffith, grandchildren, Dawn (Mitch) Morgan, Teresa Christiansen, Andria Christine (Bud) Knight, Amanda (Jimmy) Amos, Troy Clontz, Martha Pittman, Carolyn Botones, nine great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: Monday, January 22, 2018, 2:00 pm from the Upper Peachtree Baptist Church with Pastor Derik Tilley officiating. Music provided by Lois Nygard-Wells. Interment will follow in the Peachtree Memorial Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brandon Morgan, Jimmy Amos, James Wells, Manson Hughes, James Hughes, and Bud Knight. Honorary pallbearers: Jason Duffey, and Mitch Morgan.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home Sunday, January 21, 2018, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
