Gearldine Raper

Geraldine Patterson Raper, 90, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Sonshine Manor Ellijay. She was born March 7, 1932, in Union County, Georgia, to the late Harvey Lee Patterson and Bedie May Turner Patterson.

Geraldine was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church; she loved Blue Grass Music and was an accomplished fiddle payer who traveled with her late husband, Bobby Adkins, where they played in several venues.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cliff Raper and Bobby Adkins, and brother, Charles James Patterson.

Her son, Ralph Raper, passed away on June 6th, 2022.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Diane Raper; grandchildren, James "Dalton" Dockery, Shannon Shpak, Jordan Waldroup, and Holland Mathis.

Interment services will follow the visitation in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
