Geraldine Davenport

Geraldine Davenport, age 68, of Hayesville, passed away on February 19, 2022, at Union General Hospital. Davenport was born November 26, 1953, in Hiawassee, to the late Winford Gibson and the late Margie Gibson Johnson. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and flowers, and spending time with her dog Jake. She was preceded in death by husband David Davenport, mother, Margie Gibson Johnson, father, Winford Gibson, step-father Sammy Johnson, sister, Clara Jo Ledford, sister, Jeanette Wade, brother, William Gibson, brother, Willie Gibson, brother, Jess Gibson, nephew, Heath Gibson, nephew, Dalton Hamilton, nephew, David  Ledford.

Survivors include sister, Angie Hamilton, niece, Andi Ledford, niece, Tammy Keyes, niece, Amber Smith, niece, Courtney Hamilton, niece, Savanah Hamilton, niece Peggy Gibson, nephew, Michael Ledford, nephew Nolan Parker, nephew, Ricky Wade, nephew, Jr Wade, nephew, Jess Gibson, Jr., nephew, Willie Jo Gibson, nephew, Danny Ledford, nephew, Gary Ledford.

Funeral services: Wednesday, February 23 at 2:00 pm at the Hiawassee Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home. Music provided by: Eric Rogers. Interment will follow in Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Steve Keyes, Austin  Keyes, Jess Gisbon Jr., Josh Wade, Grant Caldwell, Randy  Smith.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, February 22.
