Mr. Gerald Daniel Kaylor, age 76 of Murphy, passed away November 4, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Kaylor was born December 26, 1939 in Fannin county, GA to the late Floyd and Myrtle Amburn Kaylor. He was Baptist in faith and preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roger Lee and James Floyd Kaylor. In his spare time he enjoyed solving puzzle books and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: wife, Louise Withrow Kaylor, three daughters, Debra Ann (Jeff) Helton of Murphy, NC, JoAnn Kaylor of Farner, TN, and Cindy (Michael) Totherow of Murphy, NC, one son, Danny Lee (Tammy) Kaylor, of Murphy, NC, one sister, Shirley (Homer) Gibbs, sister-in-law, Jean Middlebrook, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Mann and Rev. Tommy Bell officiating. Music provided by the O'Neal Family Singers. Interment will follow in the Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers will be Brett Trantham, Jacob Harper, Steve Gibbs, Dale Kaylor, Jeff Kaylor, Wayne harper, Jeremy Fair and Paul Postell. Honorary pallbearer is Jeff Fair.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 6-9 pm.
