George Harold King

Mr. George Harold King, age 78 of Blairsville, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at Union General Hospital. He was born October 15, 1935 in Cobb County Georgia. He was the son of the late Kenneth Lester King and the late Ruby Clair Hemphill King. He was a veteran serving as Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta. He had been the owner and operator of several businesses in the Blairsville area, he was preceded in death by brother Robert King and parents, Kenneth and Ruby King.

Survivors include: wife, Carol Ann Jones King, sons and daughters in law, Chris and Patsy King, David "Max" and Debra King, Craig Michael and Amy King, sister and brother in law, Anne and Harold Shaw, sister and brother in law, Linda and Ed Stickler, and sister in law Janet King, grandchildren, Mitchell, Curtis, Cory, David and Michael.

Services: Saturday, May 10 , 2014 at 11:00am at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Honorary Escort: Mitchell King, Curtis King, David King, Jerry Hemphill and Judy Hemphill Rich .The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until11:00 a.m.

Flowers are being accepted, however friends may make donations in Mr. King's memory to their favorite charity or to their church.
