Geneva Parks

Geneva Parks, age 86 of Copperhll, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Geneva was born Sunday, December 19, 1920 in Cherokee County NC to the late George Ledford and the late Cora Cook Ledford. She was a homemaker and attended Kingtown Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Morris Parks daughter, Sandra Parks, brothers, Bill Ledford, Junior Ledford, Gene Ledford, Hugh Lee Ledford, sisters, Shelby Hall and Rowanda Fuller.

Survivors include: sister & brother in law, Dannna & Claud May of Columbus, Ga., sister & brother in law, Bennie Sue & Freddie Hancock of McCaysville, brother & sister in law, Larry & Jane Ledford of Richland, Ga., brother & sister in law, Ronnie & Tootie Ledford of Columbus, Ga., fourteen nieces and seven nephews, several great nieces and nephews, one great great nephew.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:00AM from the Kingtown Baptist Church with the Reverend Bobby Wright officiating. Music will be provided by Kingtown Trio. Interment will follow in Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Greg Towe, Donnie Kendall, Tommy Ledford, Todd Towe, Jeff Bruce and Jason Towe.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8, Sunday, August 5.
