Geneva Johnson Stanley

Geneva Wylene Johnson Stanley, age 79, of Morganton, passed away September 13, 2018, at her son's home in Lithia Springs, GA. Mrs. Stanley was born April 11, 1939, in Ellijay, GA to the late Gorden Johnson and the late Mary Leon Cochran Johnson. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and served as the Lunch Room Manager for 34 years at Morganton Elementary and East Fannin Elementary. In addition to her mother and father, Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Stanley, and son, Ronnie Dennis Stanley.

Survivors include: daughter, Donna Ray, son, Samuel (Frankie) Stanley, daughter, Ginger Hewatt, sister, Eva Lewis, brother, Danny (Sonja) Johnson, brother, Randy (Sharon) Johnson, granddaughters, Amanda Ray DeCasper, Jennifer Hite, Samantha Hewatt, step-grandson, Michael Brooks, step-granddaughter, Brianna Hicks, great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Hewatt, Taylor DeCasper, and William Hite.

Funeral services: Sunday, September 16, 2018, at 4:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge with Rev. Phillip Thomas and Rev. Doug Nave officiating. Music provided by: Robert Buchanan and Sherry Hicks. Interment will follow in the Morganton Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers: Tim Glass, Charles Duvall, Randy Johnson, David Johnson, Johnny Johnson, and Scott DeCasper.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Sunday, September 16, 2018, from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.
