Gary Thurmond Herring

Mr. Gary Thurmond Herring, age 68 of Morganton, GA passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 in Chattanooga, TN.
Mr. Herring was born October 7, 1950 in Atlanta, GA to the late William Herring and the late Mamie Jo Herring.
A member of Highland Baptist Tabernacle, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joyce Herring.
Survivors include: daughters, Jenny and her spouse, Warren, and Kathy and her spouse, Arthur; son, Chris and his spouse, Seema; grandchildren, Zach, Saralyn, David, Julia, Dean, Mary Stuart, Ajay, and Nik; three brothers and three sisters also survive.
Gary's Hobbies and Interest include fishing, antiquing, and furniture restoration. He was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Avondale High School. Upon moving to Blue Ridge in 1997, he worked as builder, at Ace Hardware, and Blue Ridge Antiques.
A private memorial service will be conducted by the family on Friday, November 16th at 2PM at Glen Haven Baptist Church in McDonough, GA
