Gary Ramey

Gary Ramey, 68, of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, October 7, 2024.

Born February 27, 1956 in Rabun County, Georgia, Gary was a 1974 graduate of Rabun Gap Nacoochee School. Gary excelled in basketball both in High School and College.

Gary was a hard worker and owned his own property management business in Cashiers, NC. Throughout his life, he loved playing golf, singing, and playing the guitar. Telling jokes and making others laugh was his favorite pastime. Gary never met a stranger and had countless friends who loved him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Wood Ramey and Maxine Teague Ramey and his brother, Walter Lee Ramey.

Gary is survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Ramey, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

The family will receive friends at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home and Crematory Murphy Chapel on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, service to follow.
