Gary Measmer

Gary Measmer better known as "Cotton", of Murphy, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at his home in Murphy, NC. Gary was born June 14th, 1956, in Murphy, NC to James and Thelma Measmer.

Gary was preceded in death by father, James Measmer

He is survived by his mother Thelma Measmer; brother Gene Measmer; sister Maxine Graves; brother James Measmer; brother Albert Measmer; sister Sandra Jump; sister Tammy Rhodes; sister Cathy Tanner; brother Bobby Measmer along with a long list of nieces and nephews.

Cotton loved hunting and fishing outdoors. He worked as a Stone Mason all his life. He helped build some of the most beautiful houses in Murphy and some of the surrounding areas. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

There are no services at this time the family will get together at a later date.
