The Cochran Funeral Home and Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. Garnett Byers, age 75 of Blairsville who passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge.
Mr. Byers was born in Mineral Bluff, Georgia on August 28, 1941 to the late Carl F. Byers and Mattie Bell (Dillard) Byers.
Survivors include: sisters, Irene McAullife, Imogene Green, Inez Allen, and Mary Ann McFall; brother, Hoyt Byers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Byers; his parents; and brothers, Lloyd Byers, Frank Byers, and Junior Byers.
