Franklin D. Patterson

Franklin D. Patterson, age 76 of Blairsville, passed away Wednesday evening December 18th. in Canton, GA. Franklin was born March 5, 1937 in Union County to John Lawson and Bertha Patterson. He had lived most of his life in Union County and was a member of Dooley Lodge #367 F&AM. He attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. Franklin was a good father and provider for his family. He worked as a carpenter and foreman for the C.W. Matthews Company for many years. He loved fishing and playing the lottery.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Franklin D. Patterson, Jr and Angie of Canton, GA, daughter, Sue Davis of Kingston, GA, his ex-wife, Arlene Patterson of Acworth, GA, grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla and Jake Patterson of Canton, GA, Amanda Sue Turner and Dusty Davis of Kingston, GA and Michelle Pfister of Marietta, GA and great grandchildren, Hayley and Daylan Turner, Gavin and Grayson Pfister and Landon Patterson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, December 20th at the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with Rev. J.R. Smith Officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6 until 9 pm.
