Mrs. Billie Frances Williams, known as "Frankie" age 83 of McCaysville, went to her heavenly home peacefully, Friday, May 24, 2013 at her home. Her husband, daughter and son-in-law gave her the comfort that she needed. Frankie was born in McCaysville, Georgia, August 4, 1929 to the late William Dudley Long and late, Lexie Walker Long. She was a Christian lady of strong faith and an active member of Epworth First Baptist Church for over 40 years. Frankie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a talented seamstress, loved to cook and can food. She shared her knowledge of her talents with many. Seldom would anyone met a more humble person and never vain. After her extensive oral cancer surgery in 2003 which resulted in her losing the side of her face – she and Clifton took it upon themselves to spend a lot of time visiting people who were sick and home bound. They enjoyed every minute of it. Survivors include: loving husband of 63 plus years, Clifton Williams, daughter, Zenobia (Tom) Ledford, grandchildren, Tommy Keith (Trish) Ledford, Jr. and Alison (Darren) Ledford Danner, great grandchildren, Tommy Keith Ledford, III, Hayden Danner and Tatum Ledford.
Funeral services: Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Epworth First Baptist Church with the Dr. Tom Jordan and Dr. Phil Byler officiating. Music provided by: Rev. Doug Simonds. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Ralph Walker, Jeff Walker, Rodney Ledford, Luther Patterson, Carl Curtis and James Burger. Honorary escort: Stephanie Foster, Carrie Mickens, Vernoica Curtis, Jamie Born, Hilda and Laurel Bailey, Cookie Hamby and Wanda Bell.
