The Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. Francis "Frank" LaCombe, age 81 of Blairsville who passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012.
Frank enjoyed a long career with United Airlines. His job started in Connecticut and required him to move to other areas. He worked in Chicago, Illinois; Hilo, Hawaii; Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. Frank was an avid boater and he and his wife, Gloria, had many adventures. The two of them were best friends and traveled extensively when possible. They searched many areas before retiring. When they came over the hills from Blue Ridge, they fell in love with Blairsville at first sight. Not only the place, but all of the people too!
Frank will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Gloria; his daughter and her husband, Susan and Sven and many other who knew and loved him also.
No Services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to be made to your favorite charity.
