Mr. Frank D. Daves, age 78 of Epworth, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at his home. He was born April 26, 1934 in Fannin County GA to the late Joseph Ralph Daves and Hattie Mae Bridges Daves. He was a member, Deacon, Trustee, former RA Leader and Sunday School Teacher at Epworth First Baptist Church. His passion was mowing grass and taking care of the Church Cemetery. He had 27 years of service in law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff in Fannin County. He was a Disabled US Air Force Veteran. Frank was also active in the Epworth Community Club,
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Shawna D. Daves.
Survivors include: wife, Tommye Jo Daves, daughter, Donna Daves (Johnny) Farmer, daughter, Beth Daves (Glenn) Watson, grandson, Johnathan Franklin Farmer, grandson, Jordan Thomas Farmer, granddaughter, Kelsey Jolyn Greene, granddaughter, Alyssa Claire Greene, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Epworth First Baptist Church with the Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music provided by: Doug Simonds and Vernon Owenby. Pallbearers: George Ensley, Todd Pack, Darvin Couch, James Callihan, Walter Porter, Johnny Searcy, Russell Johnson, Travis Huffman, Michael Early, Johnny Ensley and James Quinn. Honorary pallbearers: E.F. B. C. Deacon & Trustees, E.F.B.C. Men's Sunday School Class IV and Local Law Enforcement.
Interment will follow in the Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery. Honor Guard Detail by Hall County Sheriff Department under the direction of Commander, Jonathan Jackson. Bagpipes by Sgt. Mark Blihodie.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home, Saturday, February 09, 2013, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
