Francis Naomi Tolley

Frances Naomi Tolley, age 80 of Murphy, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Murphy Medical Center. Frances was born June 12, 1938 in Cherokee County, NC to the late Romulus Ray and the late Leona Ladd Ray. A member of the Church of Christ faith, she was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Eugene Tolley, also, two brothers, Kenneth and Ronald Ray, and one sister, Ann Addis. Frances was a talented artist and she used many different mediums in her works. She was also an avid writer having written several articles that were published in the Cherokee Scout.

Survivors include one sister, Elma Piercy and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with Minister Tommy Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Vengeance Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Johnny Luther, Aaron Barnett, Ryan Farmer, Tyler Thompson, Gordon Farmer, and James Hartness. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Ray and Lindford Palmer, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 10-11 am. Flowers will be accepted or you may make a donation to Juvenile Arthritis research at www.arthritis.org.
