Dan was born in Tillamook, Oregon, the son of the late Cecil James

death by an infant sister, Nancy Lynn Timpson, of Tillamook, and a
beloved younger sister, Lisa Timpson Fair, of Atlanta. He was a
graduate of Murphy High School, Class of 1966.
Dan is survived by his wife, Sharon Curry Timpson, of the home, a
step-son, Brian Ridley, of the home, and step-daughter, Deana Morgan,
of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are a brother, James (Jim) Timpson
of McDonough, Georgia; a sister, Patricia(Pat)Timpson Kephart, of
Murphy; and special cousins, Darrell Timpson and Gary Timpson of Atlanta.
Dan spent most of his adult life living and working in the Atlanta
area. He retired from the Clayton County School system in 2014. He
loved reading, playing golf, researching genealogy, watching sports

intelligent and informed, who loved to delve into science, history,
and politics, surprising people with his depth of knowledge and
understanding of complex issues.

use of his left arm and leg. A series of involved surgeries on his
leg and arm at Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville, SC,
allowed him to eventually live an active and productive life. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to:
