Frances (Ramsey) German Dale, age 66 of Copperhill, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Frances was born Sunday, February 22, 1942 in Polk County, Tenn. to the late William Henry and Julia Cain Ramsey. Mrs. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville / Copperhill. She was a graduate of Copper Basin High School, the class of 1960. She had received a BS degree from the University Of Tenn. in Knoxville and taught school in California for twenty five years.
She was preceded in death by adoptive father & mother Fred & Marguerite German. brothers and sisters, Mary Swain, Edith Williams, Ralph Ramsey, Melboorne Ramsey, Walter Ramsey.

Survivors include: husband, Dan Dale, son, Alex Dale of Famfield, CA, daughter, Amy Dale of Oakridge, TN, sister, Elsie Dale, sister, Jean Gallyon, brother, Charles Ramsey, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at 2:00PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Ramsey officiating. Music will be provided by Amy Dale. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery (Postelle).
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, February 2, 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
