Frances Adams Rutz, age 77 of Phenix City, AL passed away August 26, 2019, in Alabama. "Fran" was born January 7, 1942, in Marietta, GA to the late Hayne B Adams and the late Maggie Hooper Adams. A member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Rutz; sister, Delores Adams Dean; and brothers, James Adams and Quincy Adams. Frances was a native of Fannin county who loved to sew and lived life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends who will miss her greatly. "Fran" always tried to make the best of every situation in life. She loved warm weather and the beach while not feeling as fond of the cold weather. She will be missed dearly by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Survivors include: fiance, Ed Forrester; daughter, Sharon Lee (David) Bailey; son, William L. "Billy" (Tammy) Standridge Jr.; sister, Rachel (Kenneth) Turner; grandchildren, JoWanda (Keenan) Sparks, Krystle (James Frieberg) Davis, Adam Standridge, and Clay Standridge; great-grandchildren, Braedan Culverhouse, Blayne Sparka, Presley Davis, Carter Frieberg, and Colin Frieberg.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 29, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA with the Rev. Gary Parris and Rev. Randy Hooper officiating. Music provided by Barbara Vining. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers Roger Adams, John Adams, Tyler Adams, Nelson Dean, Wyatt Dean, and Stoney Strandridge.
The family will receive friends at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, August 28, 2019. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
