Floyd Roper

Floyd Everett Roper, age 88, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Blue Ridge Medical Center.  Floyd was born May 23, 1935, in Morganton, GA to Mercer and Ruby Roper. 

Floyd was preceded in death by his spouse, Anna Roper; father, Mercer Roper; mother, Ruby Roper; son, Gregory Roper; and brother, Paul Roper 

He is survived by his sons; Jeff Roper and Terry Roper; sister, Mary Jo McClure; grandchildren; Jennifer Barnes, Daniel Roper, and Jason Roper; great-grandchildren, Aiden Jones, Hunter Barnes, Alliann Barnes, and Dani Roper. 

Funeral Service: Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM from Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Larry Stover officiating. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jeff Roper, Terry Roper, Jason Roper, Daniel Roper, Aiden Jones, and Ralph Garner. 

Honorary pallbearer: Hugh McClure

Interment will follow at Copper Ridge Memory Gardens in Blue Ridge, Ga. 

The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Wednesday, 20th of December, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
