Florence Virginia Burger, age 79, of Ducktown, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Burger was born April 19, 1939, in Murphy, NC. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by husband, Parks Kenneth Burger.
Survivors include sons, Mike (Glenda) Burger and Gary Burger, grandsons, Brandon (Candace) Burger, and Adam Waters, granddaughters, Stacy (Mike) Herndon, and Candice Forrest, great-granddaughters, Savannah and Chole Herndon, Evelyn Burger, and great-grandson, Jacoby Forrest.
Funeral services: Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 7:00 pm at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Harper officiating. Rick Thomas will provide music. Serving as pallbearers, Brandon Burger, Mike Herndon, Brian Johnson, Tim Parks, Robert Ensley, Tyler White, and Chris Heaton. Interment will be Friday morning, October 5, 2018, at 10:00 am in the Swanson Cemetery in Cherokee County, NC.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Thursday, October 4, 2018, 5:00 pm -7:00 pm.
