Farish Willie Fowler

Mr. Farish Willie Fowler, age 80 of Marble, went to Heaven Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Farish was born February 9, 1938, in Gilmer County, GA to the late Reed Fowler and the late Mae Jones Fowler. Mr. Fowler loved his family (especially his grandchildren). He enjoyed woodworking and target shooting (especially with his grandchildren). He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, Harold Fowler, Norman Fowler, Junior Fowler, Mary Fowler, and Elsie Nazerian. Survivors include his loving wife, Reba Murphy Fowler, daughter, Angie (Mitch) Prince, son, Randy (Angela) Fowler, daughter, Colleen (Jeff) Hamlin, daughter, Diana (Jerry) Breedlove, son, Jeff (Kristen) Fowler, six grandchildren, Trevor Beavers, Sierra Hamlin, Brianna Fowler, Joshua Fowler, Noah Fowler, and Seth Fowler, two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Mason Beavers, two brothers, Jim and Pete Fowler, two sisters, Evelyn Ledford and Betty Ahanger.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the New Martins Creek Baptist Church with Dr. John Bailey and Rev. Hoyt Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the New Martins Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12-2 pm. Pallbearers include Trevor Beavers, Joshua Fowler, Noah Fowler, Seth Fowler, Sierra Hamlin, and Keith Heard. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Heard, Mitch Prince, Jerry Breedlove, Jeff Hamlin, and Doug Prince.

Military honors will be presented by the Murphy VFW Post 10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post 96, DAV Chapter 73 and Clay County VFW Post 6812.
