Mrs. Evelyn Margaret Panter, 78, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away at the Brian Center in Canton GA Friday evening July 11. Mrs. Panter was born Tuesday, August 13, 1929 in Fannin County to the late Lorn Waters and the late Reathel Shell Waters. Mrs. Panter was an elementary school teacher in Fannin County for 36 years and was a very active member of the Board of Registration.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Philip Panter in April 1987.
Survivors include: her sister and brother in law, Helen & William Bolton; brother-in laws & wives, Tommy & Ginny Bowling, and Johnny Norma Bowling; niece and nephew-in-law, Lisa & Todd Pack; niece and nephew-in- law, Anne & David Arp; nephew and niece-in-law, Larry & Jan Bolton; nephew and niece-in-law, John Jr. & Tammy Bowling. Several great and great, great nieces and nephews and many beloved friends also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Williamstown United Methodist Church with Interment in the Barnes Chapel Cemetery. Services were officiated by Rev Tom Martin and Rev Chris Barnscomb. Music was provided by Ethel Pittman and Rev Tom Martin. Serving as active pallbearers were: Harry Doss, Garry Williams, Lenord Parris, Bradley Davis, Mike Queen and Frank Henson. Honorary pallbearers were BJ Taylor, Joel Nicolella, Jr Davis and Ron Newton.
