Mrs. Evah Kathryn Turner Daves, age 103, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Daves was born Thursday, April 21, 1904 in Fannin County, Georgia to the late Lon Turner and the late Laura Dean Turner. She wasa member of Wilscott Baptist Church, taught school in Gilmer County, and was a member of the Morganton Chapter of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by husband, Earnest H. Daves.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Tom & Anne Daves of Alpharetta, Ga., daughter & son-in-law, Mary Jo & Dr. James Woody of Morganton, son & daughter-in-law, Jack & Ellen Daves of Chattanooga, son & daughter-in-law, Jerry & Gail Daves of Rootstown, Ohio, Seventeen grandchildren, Thirty Seven Great Grandchildren, and Five Great-Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 3:00PM from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clinton Hughes and Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music will be provided by , Scott & Paula Daves, Kevin Daves, J.D. Nicholas and the Wilscott Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are: John Daves, John Woody, Frank Woody, Scott Daves, Kevin Daves, Allan Daves, Brent Daves, Brandon Daves and Jimmy Wood. Honorary pallbearers include: Bob Daves, James Daves, Bill Daves, Bobby Harper, Darwin Turner, and Robert Turner.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8, Saturday, November 10.
