Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and graveside services for Mrs. Ethelene "Ethel" Teague Chambers, age 78, of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on Thursday, August 12th, 2021, peacefully at her home, after an extended illness. Mrs. Chambers was a life long resident of Union County, and was a member of Ivy Log Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chambers is preceded in death by a son, Billy Chambers; a brother, Richard Teague, and three sisters: Janie Deaver, Mary Sue Hughes, and Winnie Mae Everett.
Surviving family members include her husband of 55 years, Yeona Chambers; son, Stacy Chambers; and sister, Lorene Trulove, along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services have been scheduled for Friday, August 13th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., to be held in Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Larry Trulove officiating. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Martha Davenport. The following gentlemen are requested to serve as pallbearers: Carson Owenby, David Hemphill, Jeff Butts, Bruce Gray, Curtis Teague, and Brandon Richman.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:45 am and then process out to the cemetery for the service.
