Ethel Rosalee Gibson, age 81 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Union General Hospital.
Ethel was born Tuesday, February 9, 1926 in Union County Georgia, to the late Paul Gibson and the late Nellie Brown Gibson. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include: brother, John Earl Gibson of Blairsville, GA, brother, James H. Gibson of Blairsville, GA, brother, Buck Gibson of Young Harris, GA, sister, Betty Gibson Taylor of Blairsville, GA, sister, Lilly Vee Gibson Adams of Blairsville, GA, sister, Aileen Gibson McArthur of Blairsville, GA, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Chatham, Rev. Guy Bradley and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Music will be provided by Liberty Baptist Church Choir, nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Mark Adams, Chris Adams, Stephen Adams, Dustin McArthur, Mark Alexander and Tyler Million. Honorary pallbearers include: Ryan Brown, Nichols Million, Josh Colwell, Jamie Gibson, Jeremy Holloway, James Rowe and Paul Alexander.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Thursday, May 10.
Ethel will lie in state starting at 10:30 am Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family suggests that donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
