Ernie George Sellers

Ernie George Sellers, age 76, of Morganton, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at N.E. Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Mr. Sellers was born March 7, 1945, in Hiawassee, GA, to the late George Sellers and the late Juanita Sampson Sellers. Ernie was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed carpentry, making furniture, and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his father, George Sellers, mother, Juanita Sampson Sellers, and
brother, Grady Sellers.

Survivors include his wife, Max Anne Abercrombie Sellers, sisters, Glenda Totherow, Myrtis Hasting, and Nancy Wright. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services: Monday, July 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge with Rev. Michael Collis, Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins, and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Music provided by The Spiritual Echoes. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bobby Abercrombie, Matthew Smith, LeRoy Norton, Chase Norton, Aaron Sellers, and Terry Stanley. Honorary pallbearers: Adam Hughes, Lamar Sampson, Justin Knight, Justin Russell, Joe Cole, and Jerry Cole.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Sunday, July 18, 2021, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
