Ernest "alfred" Elrod

Alfred Elrod, 59 years old of Morganton, GA, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010.
Lifetime resident of Morganton, GA, he was born July 4, 1950 the son of Lewin and Ediff Ivilee Elrod.
He is survived by his sisters, Ella Mae Voyles, Ella Vee Elrod & Juanita Elrod, he is also survived by a host nieces & nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lewin & Edith Elrod, brother, Arlen Elrod, brother, Robert Elrod, sister, Mazie Louise Elrod and nephew, Michael Voyles.
Friends will be received at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Homeof Blue Ridge on Wednesday, April 28th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and on Thursday, April 29th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Funeral Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Morganton on Friday, April 30th at 11:00am. Reverend Luther Thomas, Reverend, David Sieg and Reverend Billy Anderson will be officiating. Music will be from Sally Roberson and Rev. Luther Thomas. Serving as pallbearers are: Scotty Dobbs, Toy Davis, Mitchell Dye, Scott Dye, Clarence Elrod, Melvin Elrod, Junior Bell and Brian Dye.
Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
