Ernest Scott Millsaps

Ernest Scott Millsaps, age 66, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, in Cleveland, TN. Ernest was born April 22, 1956, in Copperhill, TN to the late Eugene Millsaps and the late Betty Hopkins Millsaps. 

Ernest was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Chapman. 

He is survived by his son, Andrew Millsaps; cousin & caregiver, Sherry Alford; mother of his son, Lucinda Millsaps; cousins, Devan Morris, Damon (Amanda) Morris, Kim Deal, Taylor Deal, Jordan Deal, Jeff (Melinda) Dockery, Jimmy (Connie) Hopkins; nephew, Jamie (April) Chapman; niece, Rachel (Neal) Collis; great nieces, Cheyenne (John) Winters and Sierra Chapman, great-great nephew, John Waylon Winters, and his aunt, Mary Hopkins. He is also survived by a multitude of friends.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ernest loved the mountains and was a native of Fannin County. Known as "Captain" by his friends, he had a big heart and gentle soul. He was an avid reader, a bulldog and NASCAR fan. 

A Private Family Service will take place at a later date.
