Eric Charles Meissner

Eric Charles Meissner, age 79 of Blue Ridge, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home. Mr. Meissner was born January 26, 1937 in Newark, NJ to the late Eric Meissner and the late Edna Burnett Meissner. A member of Macedonia Church of Christ, he was preceded in death by wife, Susan Joyce Meissner, son, Eric Meissner, Jr., brother, William Meissner, and sister, Lorraine Meissner.
Eric enjoyed bird watching and he collected ship models. He was a member of the North Georgia Honor Guard and served his country enlisting in the United States Navy.
Survivors include: son, Peter (Jewell Warren) Meissner, daughter, Tuesday (Randy) Combs, daughter-in-law, Debbie Meissner, brother, Vincent "Vinny" Meissner, sister, Jeanie Ike, sister, Jo Ann Meissner, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Chris Meissner, Kayla Meissner, Devon Meissner, Salena Meissner, Trevor Meissner, Crystal Panter, Heather Johnston, David Johnston, Brandon Meissner, Derrick Meissner, Brittany Pittman, Kennedy Meissner, Brentley Pittman, Mallory Pittman, Cohutta Meissner and Cameron Meissner.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
