Mrs. Era Mae Washburn, age 81 of McCaysville, GA, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. Mrs.Washburn was born in Ft. Myers, FL on October 12, 1929 to Thomas M. Horne and Minnie Mae Nipper Horne. She was of the Protestant Faith.
Era was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas M. & Minnie Mae Horne, brother, James Horne, sisters, Cora Williams and Lucy May.
Survivors include: husband, Elvin Washburn of the home; son & wife, Elvin Raymond & Laurie Washburn of Saginhaw, MN; son, & wife Clarence Matthew & Louise Washburn of Ft. Myers FL; daughter & husband, Myra Katherine & Gary Greene of Young Harris, GA; daughter, Karen Elaine & Keith Williams of Big Canoe, GA; brothers, Harold Horne and Thomas Horne; sisters, Myra Harn, and Jackie Harvey, all of Ft. Myers FL; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services: Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. The Family will meet with family and friends from 10:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Copper Ridge Memorial Garden.
