Emma Mae Woody

Emma Mae Foster Woody, age 86 of McCaysville, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Woody was born August 11, 1931, in Higdon, GA to the late Nelson Grady Foster and the late Lillian Ash Foster. She was a member of McCaysville Church of Christ for over fifty-four years where she enjoyed spending time with her church family. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading; and her children, grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands, Howard Fay Woody, and Pledger (Butch) Helton, brothers, Billy Foster, Sammy Foster, Dean Foster, and Royce Foster, sisters, Omega Pearson, and Bonnie Thomas, grandson, Anthony Patterson, great-granddaughter, Clarissa Ray, great-grandson, Daniel Ray Patterson, and son-in-law, Bill J. Patterson.

Survivors include: son, Tommy (Carol) Woody, daughter, Merry Woody Patterson, sister, Frankie Garrison, sister-in-law, Brenda Andrews, grandchildren, Jason (Cristy) Woody, Ray (Susan) Patterson, Lanette (Terry) Hogan and special grandson Corey King, great great grandchilren, Emma and Caroline Patterson, Shundria Patterson, John (Chelsie) Patterson, Kelly (Cody) Tidwell, Jason (Samanthia) Ray, Grayson Woody, great-great-great-grandchildren, Deegan Patterson, Hadley Patterson, Max Tidwell, Kennedy Ray, McKinley Ray, Lyndon Ray, Judd Ray, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service: Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 3:00 pm from the Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery with Minister Keith Ritchie officiating.
