Mrs. Emily Isbell White, age 97, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home.
Mrs. White was born April 21, 1913 in Stephens County, GA to the late Thomas Richard and Martha Emily (Phillips) Isbell. She moved to this area in the early 1970's from East Point, GA. Mrs. White was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church, a former member of D.A.R. and Georgia Teachers Assocation. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. T. White.
Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Gail & Roy Robertson of Hiawassee, son & daughter-in-law, William & Susan White of Zebulon, GA, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Osborn Cemetery with Dennis Miles officaiating: Music will be by Jeannie and Dennis Miles. Pallbearers will be Allen White, Chris White, Russell White, Austin Robertson, Mark Robertson and Michael Robertson. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 until 1:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to either: McConnell Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 235, Hiawassee, GA 30546, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or to the MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
