Mr. Elvin White, age 71 of Murphy, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Mr. White was born in Fannin County, GA. to John & Lacie White on November 11, 1938. A member of New Mt. Gillian Church.

Survivors include: wife, Diane White, son, Terry White, daughter, Bernice Davenport, step-daughter, June Cross, step-daughter, Rose Payne, step-son, Randal Kimbrell, grandson, Jeremy White, granddaughter, Monica (Jack) Totherow, grandson, Jamie Davenport, great-grandson, Blake, great-granddaughter, Raven, great-granddaughter, Trystan, sister, Dollie Lovell, brothers, Louin, Bill, Raymond, Welden, Arlen & Earl White, sister, Martha Morris, step-granddaughter, Breana Cross, step- granddaughter, Britney Cross, step-grandson, Jeffrey Kimbrell, step-granddaughter, Destiny Kimbrell, step-granddaughter, Kelly Payne, step-granddaughter, Hope Payne, step-granddaughter, Faith Payne, step-grandson, Christopher Payne, step-grandson, Brian Hogan, step-grandson, Doug Ware.

Visitation will be Friday, July 2, 2010 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home.

Funeral services: Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 2:00pm in the Henry Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Dockery & Rev. Lois Waters officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptsit Church Cemetery in Murphy, NC. Pallbearers: Bud, Ronald, Robert, Dean, & Mike Ware, Jeffery Kimbrell. Honorary pallbearers: Shannon Queen, Jay Lynch, Wayman Lovell, Charles Neal.
