Elven Delano Hensley

Rev. Elven Delano Hensley, age 91 of Morganton, passed away May 16, 2014 at The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge, in Asheville, NC. Hensley was born November 13, 1922 in Trenton, TN to the late George Delano Hensley and the late Hettie Willis Hensley. A member of Blue Ridge First Baptist Church. He was a minister and pastored for forty three years. He was preceded in death by father, George Delano Hensley, mother, Hettie Willis Hensley and wife Mary Frances Hensley.

Survivors include: daughter, Flora Kay (Steve) Harbin, daughter, Donna Lynn (James) Petrides, daughter, Barbara Jean (Terry) Terrell, son, George Buchanan (Debra) Hensley.

Funeral services: Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Willis officiating. Music provided by: Debbie Cochran. Interment will follow in Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Shan Culpepper, Steve Fortune, Tracy Radebaugh, Bill Rizer, Chuck Sisson and Kenny Stuart.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, May 17, 2014 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
