Ella V. Elrod

Ella V. Elrod, age 78, of Morganton, GA, passed away at home surrounded by her family, Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Morganton, GA. Leona was born February 3, 1945, in Morganton, GA to Lewin and Ivilee Elrod.

 

Leona was preceded in death by her father, Lewin Elrod; mother, Ivilee Elrod; sister, Louise Elrod; brothers, Robert Elrod, Arlen Elrod, and Alfred Elrod; sister, Juanita Elrod; and nephew, Michael Voyles

 

She is survived by her sister, Ella Mae Voyles; sister-in-law, Lois Elrod, nephew, Clarence Elrod, nieces, Angela Dye, Loretta Abercrombie, and Eula Mae Elrod; and nephew, Melvin Elrod.

 

Funeral Service on Thursday January 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Henry Cochran Chapel with Pastor John Newton officiating. Music provided by Joshua Dills.

 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bobby Abercrombie, Jacob Abercrombie, Scott Dye, David Hawkins, and Billy Turner, Ronnie Mewborn.

Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton, GA.

 

The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday, January, 16, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Wednesday, January 17, 2024, until 7:00 pm.
