Elend Tipton

Elend Haskell Tipton, 75, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, in his home. Elend was born November 12, 1947, to the late Haskell & Sybil Tipton. 

He is survived by his wife, Janice Tipton; daughter Andrea Tipton Higdon & husband, Anthony S. Higdon; son Adam Tipton & wife, Gail R. Tipton; daughter Alanna Tipton Greene & husband, Tim Greene; grandson Devin Greene & wife, Megan Greene; granddaughter Deanna Grace Greene & fiancé Jory Smith; and grandson Derek Greene. He is also survived by his sister Angie Tankersley & husband, Kenny Tankersley; Shane Tankersley, and family, as well as Shea T. Wimpey, and family.

Elend loved the Lord and was a deacon and member of Concord Baptist Church. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. One of his favorite things to do was read his Bible. Elend was known for his ability to do many things throughout his working life.

Funeral Service, on Wednesday November 16, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Fleming officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Devin Greene, Derek Greene, Tim Greene, Jory Smith, Shane Tankersley and Anthony S. Higdon.

The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers:  Wayne Allen Cruse, Scott Cruse, Lee Cox, Hayden Crawford, Matt Lord and Vaughn Galloway.

The family will receive friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday November 15, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
