Eleanor Esther Verner

Mrs. Eleanor Esther Verner, age 79, of McCaysville, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. Mrs. Verner was born in Sommerville, PA, to the late Sam Love and late Stella Boka Love. Eleanor was a member of Friendship #3 Baptist Church, and retired from Levi Strauss.. She enjoyed bowling and gardening.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Velma Lacer, and grandson, Jeffrey Barnes..

Survivors include: her husband of 61 years, Hoyt Verner; son & daughter-in-law, Raymond & Kay Verner; Daughters & Sons-in-laws, Janice & Buck Cook, Vivian & Dennis Barnes, and Sharon & Carl Arp, Jr. one brother, Ray Love of Pinetop, AZ ; grandchildren, B. J & Julie Chancey, Nathan & Lori Chancey, Chris & Ronda Adams, Brandy Adams, and Stacy & Tim McArthur; Twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services: Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Bachanan, and Rev. Scott Baugh officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Ed Vest. Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Arp Jr., Buck Cook, Dennis Barnes, B. J. Chancey, Nathan Chancey, Tim McArthur, Patrick Trantham, and Chris Adams. Burial will be in the Friendship III Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, September 28, 2011.
