Elbert Sylvester Anderson

Mr. Elbert Sylvester Anderson, Jr. age 69 of Brasstown, NC, passed away Tuesday morning, February 22 at the Murphy Medical Center. Mr. Anderson was born in Clay Co., NC to the late Elbert Sylvester Anderson Sr. and Martha Janie Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Keith Anderson.

Survivors include: son, Tommy James Anderson, daughter, Kathy Leitner; two sisters, Eulene Payne and Louise Henderson; one grandson, Justin Moore; three granddaughters, Nicole Anderson, Kailyn Leitner, and Kimberly Leitner; two great grandsons, Phillip Moore Jr. and Bentley Gibbs.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 pm Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Leatherwood officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service at the Pine Log Cemetery. The gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Justin Moore, Lewis Leitner, David Anderson, William Anderson, Willard Payne, and David Owens. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Leonard Henderson.
