Edward Spain, age 86 passed away on February 15, 2025 at his home in Young Harris. He was born on March 26, 1938, in Atlanta, Georgia.
From Stone Mountain Georgia, Edward, was an excellent carpenter. He also spent many years in the paint and body shop industry, where he was well-known for his expertise. Beyond his professional life, Edward embraced various passions, one of which was fishing, an activity that brought him peace and joy. He also found solace in the intricacies of puzzles and enjoyed watching golf, always remaining busy and engaged with life.
He is survived by his children: Keith, Scott, Daniel, David, Ronald, Kimberly, and Annette. He is also survived by his brothers Willis and Levender Spain; his sisters Burnell Browning, Mildred Quakenbush, Joanne Wright, Viola Rogers, and Bonnie Segars; and many nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; James Edward Spain Sr and Ollie Cochran Spain; siblings; James Edward Spain Jr., Henry Spain, William Spain, Fred Spain, Hubert Spain, Andrew Spain, Gene Spain, Kathryn Boyer, and Katie Stephens.
Interment in the Laurel Hills Memory Gardens in Young Harris, Georgia at a later date.
