Edward Justen Cimino, 61, of Atlanta and Hiawassee, GA., passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 in Holmes Beach, FL. Ed was born January 18, 1948, in Tampa, FL a son of Peter and Ophelia ?Toby? Cimino. Ed attended Christ the King Catholic School and was a 1966 graduate of Jesuit High School. While at Jesuit he excelled in sports and was inducted into the Jesuit Hall of Fame as a quarterback. He attended the University of Florida to play football, was past president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and graduated with a bachelor?s degree in business. Upon graduation, Ed moved to Atlanta, where he started his insurance career with Georgia Life and Health. After many years in the insurance business, Ed ended his career owning and managing National Benefit Services Inc., a financial planning services firm dedicated to the present and future well-being of its clients. Although his distinguished professional career included numerous accolades and achievements, Edward will be predominately remembered for the countless relationships cultivated through the highest standards of personal and professional service. His survivors include his wife, Norene; son, Justen Cimino; daughter, Missy Mize and husband, Gerald; grandchildren, Kristen Yates, Madisen Yates, Lela Grace Mize and Charlee Mize; brothers, Peter and wife Billie, Bo and wife, Michele, Kevin and wife, Gayle; and their children, Kimmie Cimino Fine, Jamie Cimino, Alex Watson, Ansley Watson, Lauren Cimino, Kristen Cimino, Sarah Cimino and Peter Cimino; brothers-in-law, Chester and wife, Sue Edwards, and Carl and wife, Alene Edwards; and sisters-in-law, Glenda and husband, Jim Stephens, and Sue and husband, Dickie Dills; niece and nephews, Chris Edwards, Mark Edwards, Vickie Ellis, Barry Edwards and Matthew Dills; and additionally, the numerous aunts uncles, cousins and remaining family and friends. The service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home. Following the service a reception will be held at Ramada Inn in Hiawassee. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jesuit High Athletic Depertment, c/o Nicole Suszynski, Alumni Relations.
